Culture Becomes an Image
[code:culture] is a youth video projection laboratory where participants create artistic videos exploring the cultural identities of their nations.
Working alongside experts in video mapping and digital art, young artists master new digital tools, develop their own works, and present them on the facade of the Student Campus in Yekaterinburg.

MENTORS
- Misha Nadymov //Digital storyteller//Architectural Projection MappingMisha Nadymov, also known as Digital storyteller, is a media artist who has taken part in Russian and international media art festivals.
He will lead hands-on sessions on creating visual content for architectural projection mapping using generative AI tools. Participants will learn how to develop a concept, turn it into a storyboard, generate keyframes, and create seamless animation loops tailored to the requirements of projection mapping. They will explore how the cultural traditions of the countries represented at the International Youth Festival can be translated into the language of digital art. - Tatiana Smirnova //VJ TAYA//VJingTatiana Smirnova, also known as VJ TAYA, is a lecturer at the Yekaterinburg Academy of Contemporary Art and a practicing VJ.
She will lead an intensive course in VJing. Participants will be introduced to audiovisual art and learn the essential tools of live visual performance—from creating content to displaying it on screen. By the end of the course, each team will produce an original VJ set and perform it at the Video Projection Laboratory’s final show.

FINAL SHOWCASE
The laboratory will conclude with an evening showcase of artistic video projections on the facade of the Palace of Water Sports at the Student Campus in Yekaterinburg’s Novokoltsovsky district
